Soviet Union
In the first months after Germany invaded the Soviet Union, among other tanks and self-propelled guns, larger numbers of Pz.Kpfw. II. The report of the 5th Army of the Western Front mentions the capture of 8 tanks Pz.Kpfw. II of various versions. Other tanks were in the possession of units of the 20th Army or 31st Army, and their appearance was probably more or less frequent in other units as well (151st Tank Brigade...). Most of the captured equipment was recycled by the Soviets immediately or after repairs and deployed to fight against the Germans.

There is a known image from the post-war period, where a Pz.Kpfw. II was rebuilt into a self-propelled crane. The source states that such a 1946 machine was supposed to have come from a factory in the Donbas.
