In 2020, Kiev's Majak plant began development of the RKG-1600 cumulative munition, which could be dropped from small unmanned vehicles. The training and simulation version is designated HI-RKG-1600.

The HI-RKG-1600 training and simulation munition was developed in conjunction with the military's A2724 "Aerointelligence" unit to train pilots of strike unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). The warhead - the light and sound part and the smoke-generating part - are designed to intercept the impact at night and during the day.
Weighing 1,600 grams, the unguided NI-RKG-1600 is massively identical to the RKG-1600 combat cumulus. The ammunition body is identical to the Soviet anti-tank RKG-3 (GRAU index - 57-G-732), which was adopted into service in 1950 and replaced by the RPG-18 in the 1970s. The accuracy of the NI-RKG-1600 and RKG-1600 is one square meter from a height of 300 meters.

The munition, developed jointly with the A2724 unit, was first used in a drop from a quadcopter during an exercise at the Shiroky Lan test site in November 2020. Tests of the munition's corrective means were also to take place at a later date with the participation of the Zhytomyr Military Institute, named after S. P. Korolyov.
