Brigadier Otho Leslie Prior-Palmer has born on 28.10.1897 at Dublin.

In 1940, he was given command of the 2nd Battalion of the 2nd Northamptonshire Yeomanry (Generals), and in spring 1941 he is commissioned as acting Commanding Officer of the 20th Armoured Brigade. This assignment holds for one month, when subsequently he became be Commanding Officer of the 30th Armoured Brigade till August the same year. After that he is given command of the 29th Armoured Brigade. Both units stationed in the UK.

In 1943, he received the command of the 7th Armoured Brigade at that time heavy combating in Italy. In October 1944, unit seen significantly operating in combats near the Savio River.

He is on 26.06.1945 compensated for his services and awarded with DSO (The Gazette, 37151).
