Today I was planning to travel to Warsaw and together with my friends from the military-historical club to take part in the Katyński marszu cieni - Katyń march of shadows. This silent march of dozens of KVHacek members in historical uniforms was to honor the victims of the Katyn massacre.
But yesterday's tragedy in Smolensk changed our plans. Almost immediately we decided that our delegation would not go to Warsaw and that we wanted and needed to be together in these difficult moments and together to honour the memory of the victims at home in Těšín.
12.00 - The whole country stopped for a while, only sirens and bells were heard, silent prayers and spontaneous singing of the national anthem...it is hard to describe, but I am glad that I was able to attend and light a candle on Polish soil for www.valka.cz .
