Tropospheric radio station R-412 a special superstructure on the machine chassis of the URAL-375 car.
R-410M stations were used in the stationary tropospheric link, and R-412 tropospheric stations were used in the field link. This type existed in three variants.
The Six-channel R-412F and E-412A were mounted on URAL-375 truck chassis.
The Three-channel R-412B in MT-LB armoured personnel carriers.
R-412F
It was intended to provide a field tropospheric link between the General Staff (GHQ) command post and the front line command post and between the front line command post and the command posts of the allied armies .
R-412A
It was intended to provide field tropospheric liaison between the air defence and air forces.
R-412B
It was to provide field tropospheric liaison to an Army-Allied grade operational tactical headquarters on the main line of attack.
Consideration was given to importing 35 sets.

The I613M source vehicle is designed to supply the I606 instrument vehicle of the R-412A (F) tropospheric radio station with 3 x 220 V 50 Hz alternating current from either its own power supplies or from the 220 V permanent power grid. In either case, the power input to the appliances must not exceed 20 kVA.
The source vehicle has 2 power generators in a Kl.375 box body, which is mounted on the chassis of the URAL-375A car. The body is divided by a partition with sliding hermetically sealed doors into a section for the operator and a section with the power units. Each section has one entrance door.
Composition of the set :
- 2 pcs of ASD-20T/230-M2 power generators ( D65A-1 motor), - voltage stabilizer STS-25/0,5S, - I383M switch cabinet, - synchronization panel, - rdst R-105M, - telephone set TA-57, - interconnecting mains cable, mains supply cable, - filtering and ventilation equipment FVUA-100N-12, fans, - heating and ventilation equipment OV-65, electric heater, - DK-4U demisting set, - earthing systems.
Main technical data :
The TTD of the vehicle are identical to the URAL-375A.

Radio station R-412A (F) is a mobile tropospheric radio station that operates in the centimeter band of FM and provides the transmission of messages through three to six telephone channels in frequency modulated operation (KM) or one telegraph channel at telegraph speeds: 1200, 4800, 12000 and 48000 baud.
The radio station R-412A together with the mobile antenna mast I601, which is located on the chassis of the car ZIL-131, forms the radio station R-412F.[/B]

The R-412A radio station is located on two chassis of the URAL-375 car with a box body.
Instrument vehicle - I606.

The radio station can be used as a terminal or as a retransmission station for a tropospheric radio link.
The R-412A provides a radio link with a station of the same type at a distance of at least 150 km.
Operating frequencies:
1. Sub-band in the range of 4438 to 4555 MHz; 2. A sub-range between 4630 and 4749.98 MHz.
Radiated high-frequency power, minimum:
- 200 W when operating with one transmitter to two antennas, - 400 W when operating with two transmitters.
The set has two parabolic antennas, controlled from the I326M control panel in the instrument vehicle.
The R-412 F works with so-called "raised" antennas, which are lifted by a mobile antenna mast I601 to a height of 20 m.
