He was born 4.2.1908 with Aš (Aš) in the Czech republic as one of the two children of the gamekeeper, he was trained as a stolařem. 1931/32 the basic military service in the czechoslovak army, then a clerk in a store. 1938 RAD Obertruppführer, a month after the outbreak of the war called into Wehramachtu, here volunteered to attack the artillery. 11./1940 served in the Stu.Gesch.Abt. 191, first as operator, then the commander of the cannons in the 2.battery. Proven to work in the Balkans and in Russia. 06./1941 awarded the Iron cross II.class, in the battles of Kieva, Vyazma and Moscow often supported 98.infantry division. 1942 received the Iron cross Also.class, 25.8.1942 German cross in gold. In the spring of 1943 he participated in repelling the soviet offensive in the Kuban. Transferred to the Stu.Gesch.Brig. 280 where he assumed command of the platoon in the 3.battery. The deployment of the invading front. 1944 withdrawn to Holland. During the landing of the british paratroopers in Holland, subordinate to the II. The SS panzer corps, counterattacks along the road Eindhoven-Nimwegen-Arnheim. 19.9.1944 in the fight against the british infantry after destroying several anti-tank guns was a direct hit severely wounded, together with his crew, and despite the emergency treatment of the brigadier the doctor failed to save. Posthumously he was named in the Honor list of the army and 4.10.1944 awarded the Knight's cross.
