The weapon was created by modifying the original signal pistol " 2,7 Leuchtpistole" respectively its version "2.7 cm KmP" called kampfpistole. When firing grenades, the recoil was relatively large and shooting without sights was not accurate enough. The weapon was modified by the addition of folding armrests as well as folding sights and was newly called "Sturmpistole" was used in smaller quantities in late WWII, but because charging was relatively complicated and time consuming was not very popular. For the weapon, there was a charge that could fire a grenade model 39 (Wurfkorper 361) at a distance of about 90m, and a Panzerwurfkorper 42 was also made, but due to its small effect it was practically not used. The problem with the anti-tank grenade was also the stabilization of rotations, which further reduced the already small effect of the cumulative charge.
