KSTT1 sa používalo aj na prnos ďalekopisných (a telegrafných) signálov pomocou rádiostaníc ASTRA (R-105, 108, 109) spolu so služobným hovorom napríklad pri rpoužití s rádiostanicou R-140, kde potom ASTRA slúžila ako náhrada telefónnej linky.
