A brief history:
The failure of the Messerschmitt Me 210 enabled to maintain production of the older Bf 110 F up to the year 1942, however, because it was a need of more efficient aircraft was the Luftwaffe in the summer of this year, passed on trying the new Bf 110 G-0. Aircraft of this version were given powerful engines Daimler-Benz DB 605 B-1, which were essentially the same engines as the received single-engine Bf 109 G, only the transfer in the reducer had a different ratio.
