Messerschmitt Bf 110 G-2

A brief history:
The failure of the Messerschmitt Me 210 enabled to maintain production of the older Bf 110 F up to the year 1942, however, because it was a need of more efficient aircraft was the Luftwaffe in the summer of this year, passed on trying the new Bf 110 G-0. Aircraft of this version were given powerful engines Daimler-Benz DB 605 B-1, which were essentially the same engines as the received single-engine Bf 109 G, only the transfer in the reducer had a different ratio. The change is outwardly manifested greater propeller cones, changed also were the SOP and was amplified by the chassis. The second member of the crew got more effective weapon than was hitherto used by the machine gun MG 15, newly installed double machine gun MG-81Z, for which it carried 800 rounds of ammunition. Cannon MG-FF were replaced by more modern and more powerful cannons MG 151/20 of the same caliber. In the hull was carried by the tank capacity of 55 liters, in which was oil for the engines and a small třílitrová reservoir on a mixture of gasoline and air for the winter starts. The Luftwaffe took over ten production aircraft Bf 110 G-0, it was further planned production version of the G-1, which was supposed to be a heavy interceptor.
