Štefan Tiso zmaturoval in 1915, have plans after graduation was piped and in 1916 padol into the Russian zajatia. In 1918 vstúpil to the czechoslovak légií. Slovakia sa back in 1920. Short bol in Brno, then in Bratislave, where vyštudoval right.

After štúdiu nastúpil ako sudca to Trencin. In 1938, the sa became a predsedom regional súdu. In septembri 1939 bol preložený to Bratislava, where the sa became the predsedom najvyššieho súdu vtedy have a separate Slovakia.

After the outbreak of the Slovak národného povstania and after odstúpení government Vojtecha Fat /5. 9. 1944/ bol menovaný posledným predsedom of the government of the Slovak state.
