Sturmgeschutz III (jeřáb - dílenské/servisní vozidlo)

Field modification of StuG III from the eastern front. Year 1944, Poland, Ostrowice.

The whole superstructure is removed from the vehicle, creating a kind of "moving van". The armour in its original form remained only over the engine compartment. After removing the superstructure, a 3 t crane was installed.
The conversion was probably only made in one piece at StuG. Abt. 210 in 1944. The paintwork on the rear is European yellow, the crane is dark. The zimmerit is not superimposed as the StuG III vehicles at that time on the StuG.Abt. 210 had zimmerit, but a picture of the StuH 105 howitzer shows that the machine does not have zimmerit.
Behind the machine is a repaired StuG or StuH with a lot of concrete on the nose of the vehicle - in 1944 for StuG. Abt. 210 common finish.
