Looking for PLDvK 53/59 or PV3S manuals

Diskuse

Hello everyone!Very Happy

I am looking for some english versions or translations of the PV3S engine, transmission, chassis, and drivetrain manuals. I have a PLDvK 53/59 that I wish to do and tune up on and I need the PV3S book for the valve rebuild specifications. Does anyone here know where I can obtain a manual for this? I already have the English manuals but short of translating these I would like to buy one if possible.

Sorry but I do not speak English, And to have family in CZ (Slovacek) but have never met them.

Here are pictures of my truck.

Thanks for any help if you can!Very Happy
Pat.

Hello,

there is maybe one such book in Czech Technical Library in Prague - Workshop manual for the PRAGA V3S cross-country platform truck. At least the name of this book is English (I have no clue which language is used inside the book).

It should be possible to obtain this book through your library. For example, I received some books from the Library of Congress in this way (but it was quite expensive)..

Thank you so much Mr. Smíšek Smile

I will try and obtain this manual through my library as you directed.
Would you happen to know if anyone here has a vehicle like this and can speak english so that I can ask some technical questions to get me out of a bind that I am in?

Oh, and I forgot to ask if there are any movies/films with this truck in it? Any war films or such? Smile

PLdvK vz.53/59 you not often member of war conflikt, but some 30 mm PLdvK in action are in the movie Behind Enemy lines from the war in Yugoslavia 1991-2001.

But in the movie there are used original PLdvK (and other military technics) from Slovak Armed Forces, not the Yugoslav army..

I have seen this movie and have seen the M53/59 in it.
So this is the only film that you know of that has the Jesterka?

Are there any Czech films that have it or perhaps some action with it? If you know of any then I would like to purchase any films if possible. Smile

I just checked with my local library and Congress library and they have no such book so I sent an email to Státní technická knihovna to see if they could help and verify that it is such a manual.Cool

Some books with English names and dealing with V3S are in Czech National Library as well:
sigma.nkp.cz

And what about the book from Státní technická knihovna? Any sign of success? Smile

Nothing from Státní technická knihovna yet. I emailed them quite a few time but they have not replied. Sad

Is there anyone here that you know of that would be close to one of those librarys that could check on or look for such a manual for me? If found I would be more than willing to pay up to a couple hundred dollars or so for a copy.Cool

I need a technical manual for the PV3S that covers all of the mechanics of the vehicle for complete rebuilds.

If the manual is indeed a repair/rebuild manual for the PV3S covering all of the areas I mentioned then please if you dont mind make me a copy and I will send you $200 USD for your trouble and the shipping.

If you can find a english manual or manuals covering the overhaul of the Tatra-912 as well as the overhaul of the transmission, transfer case, electrical system, and drivetrain then those will work as well.

I know the PV3S book that I have in Czech covers all of these areas but it does me no good unless I learn Czech (which I may!) or have it translated.

Please let me know what you find out!!!Cool

I just recieved this (below) from Státní technická knihovna. I will await for their reply and see what they can find out but if you Mr. Smíšek or anyone else can help then please do or continue to do so because it is quite possible that they will not have the correct manual. I will gladly pay a fee for this! Very Happy

I have found these manuals. Still they are not useable to me.

Does anyone know what type/weight of oil the engine, transmission, and axles take? I have always put 30HD oil (HD = high detergerent) in the engine and 90 weight oil in the axles and transmission but I was told that it would not be good for a freshly rebuilt engine?

I have this manual as well, it is an excellent resource and the pictures almost make it self explanatory but I know I will need the procedures and torquing specifications too.

Thank you for al of the information! YOu wouldn't happen to know if 15W-40 would work in the engine would you?
URL : https://www.valka.cz/Looking-for-PLDvK-53-59-or-PV3S-manuals-t73316#263905 Version : 0
SAE and API specification of the Madit M6AD is
SAE 30, API SC/CB
it is oil for basic diesels - non super or turbocharged engines

so viscosity index 15W/40 is better one and I don t see any reason why you couldn t use it.

power index M6AD for spark-ignition engines (S) is C
for diesels (C) is B

Bear in mind that And is the lowest and H is the highest index

for any non-turbocharged engines is E more than enough.

Is there a technical section to this forum that vehicle owners use? I will be doing some tune up work shortly and if apprpriate and desired I can post pictures of it. I do not know if that is something that would be of help or interest here but if so then let me know. Smile
