Light Tank Mk IIB

One of the variants of the Mk II light tank, this particular version was produced by Vickers-Armstrongs Ltd. To distinguish it from its brethren, the Mk IIA produced at the Royal Ordnance Factory in Woolwich was given the military designation Light Tank Mk IIB. The main difference between the two versions is the location and number of fuel tanks. The Mk IIA was equipped with two separate tanks. The Mk IIB was equipped with one large tank mounted on the rear of the vehicle, one source lists the right side of the vehicle. Otherwise, the other parameters remained the same.

Development of the vehicle began in 1931, but it did not enter service until 1933. It remained in service until 1940 but by that time it was used only as a training vehicle.
