The 1B19 / 1B19M is a mobile sound metering station. It provides position detection of ground artillery assets (artillery, anti-aircraft artillery, mortars, rocket launchers) based on the sounds of gunfire.
Composition:
2 x GAZ-66K (central station)
4 x UAZ-452 (3 x sound gauge and 1 x warning station)
3 x UAZ-452T2 (part of the sound gauges)
1 pc of 1B19M kit is in the armament of the Slovak Armed Forces (it was, it is already listed as unserviceable).
In the armament of the NVA (National People's Army of the GDR) the individual elements of the system were designated as follows:
ZP-1, ZP-2 (zentraler Punkt) - chassis GAZ-66-05
WP (Warnposten) - UAZ-452 chassis
SMP-1, SMP-3, SMP-5 (Schallmessposten) - chassis UAZ-452
SMP-2, SMP-4, SMP-6 (Schallmessposten) - chassis UAZ-452T-2
The original markings of the sound-measuring vehicles were ZVP/1 - ZVP/6, In the CSRL the sound-measuring vehicles on the UAZ-452 chassis were probably marked as ZVP-1 to 6 (author's guess).
Basic tactical-technical data:
Target Detection Range:
mortar up to 81 mm: 4-5 km
mortar up to 120 mm: 6-8 km
recoilless guns up to 100 mm: 8-12 km
guns up to 90 mm / howitzers up to 105 mm: 12-15 km
howitzers over 155 mm: 20-25 km
Nature of kit deployment:
Distance from the front edge of the enemy: 5-7 km
distance from own troops: 2-2.5 km
distance between individual listening means: 1-1.5 km
width of deployment: 4-5 km
Reconnaissance width: 6-8 km
