Aviation machine gun 7.62 mm Degtyarev DA / Degtyarev Aviacionnyj / comes from the design workshop of V.A. Degtyarev. It is based on the infantry light machine gun DP. One of the modifications was the removal of the cooling barrel cover, then modification of the stock and others. It was put into armament in 1928. By 1930, 1,200 pieces were delivered to the VVS (Air Force - Air Force).
The DA machine gun was armed with R-5, Po-2 and TB-3 / 3 pieces /.
From 1930, a twin-engined version was produced under the designation DA-2.
