T-64A model 1967 - verification series


T-64A model 1969 - first production model, compared to the verification series, the deep wading device was moved to the rear of the turret (transport position), AT-1 boxes were installed on the left side of the turret, a self-piercing device was added. Since 1971, the rangefinder (TPD-2-49), night sight (TPN-1-49-23) and radio station (R-123M) were changed


T-64A model 1972 - a remote-controlled 12.7 mm caliber NSVT anti-aircraft machine gun with 300 rounds of ammunition and a PZU-5 sight was installed on the tank's turret. Rolling wheel shock absorbers added (2 on each side of the chassis). From January 1973, the TVBO-2BM night vision device for the driver is replaced by the TVN-4PA and the VNM night vision device for the gunner is replaced by the TNP-165A. The tank received anchor points to install the KMT-6 trawler. Since 1973, changes are also made to the radiation warning and fire suppression systems (the EEC11 is replaced by the more modern EEC11-2), and the port forward tank is fitted with a new BCN-1 centrifugal fuel pump.


The T-64A model 1975 - turret armor modification - corundum filler was added. Changes were also made to the automatic reloading system, which was supplemented by the addition of cartridge count indicators on both the tank commander's position. Since November 1974, the D-81TM (2A46-1) gun with 2E28M2 stabiliser has been fitted to production tanks; since 1975, flat auxiliary fuel tanks have been fitted above the right fender instead of spare parts boxes (these have been moved to a locker at the rear of the turret). The barrel fitted with a thermowell, the engine 5TDF has the ability to use multiple fuels (diesel, A-72 gasoline and TS-1 aviation kerosene).


T-64A model 1981 - tank equipped with smoke grenades 902B and anti-cumulative hull covers, some tanks are equipped with TKD-K-1 laser rangefinder as standard.
