General Andrejs AUZĀNS (4 Apr 1871 - 23 Mar 1953)
Former Major-General in the Russian Army, having commanded the 7. Bauska Rifle Regiment and the 2. Rifle Brigade. Also served as Chief of the Russian General Staff Topographical Section, including in the Red Army. Joined the Latvian Army on December 15, 1923 as a General. After retirement lived in Rīga, then fled to Germany during World War II. After the war, moved to England where he died.
