Vyrábané is in cooperation nemeckej companies Rheinmetall and švajčiarskej of the company RUAG, 12 kusov pre švajčiarsku army will be supplied in the rokoch 2010-2011. The website of the Swiss magazine Schweizer Soldat claims that the German company Rheinmetall has developed a new engineer tank on the Leopard 2 chassis according to the requirements of the Swiss army. Other internet sources claim that a 2003 prototype of this multi-purpose engineer tank has already been tested by the armies of Denmark, the Netherlands, Norway, Greece, Spain and Sweden. This vehicle is under discussion in all armies that use Leopard 2 tanks.
