Operational Order Number 2,
for transfer on 4 July 1941.



I. Situation:
Enemy rear troops retreating in front of Nem. The enemy rearguard units are retreating east of Lwów. In the Slovak army zone reached 444 German. Division in the Stryj area.
The area east of the San River up to the Sambor-Turka line has been cleared by 454 German. Division from the Russian assembled units. However, it is not impossible that smaller units have remained in hiding and will trouble the advance of our troops by firing.
454 Germ. Division is on 3. 7. 1941 on the departure in the direction of Lwów.


II. Task:
The Slovak Army will move as quickly as possible to the area Stryj - Drohobycz, will displace the 444th German Division with part of its forces, and will take command in the zone bounded in the north: San to Przemysl - Sambor - Kawsko, and in the south: Turka - Kalucz - Buczacz.


III. Implementation:
(a) 1st Div. I give a bus and one truck convoy for the day of 4/7/1941. In addition, the commander of the 1st Div. Use truck pion. Battalion 1 and 11, according to his disposition. These will move the 1st Div. on 4/7/1941 along the Axis: Sanok - Zaluz - Tzrawa - Woloska - Kuzmina - Lesczawa Dln. - Bircza - Lodzinka - Rybotycze to the area Siera Kosce - Nowe Miasto - Dobromil with as many infantry units as possible, with which move out also parts of the HKB and KPUV (without horses) and field kitchens with provisions without horses.
Count on the fact that on the evening of 4/7/1941 part of the buses to Prešov must leave.
On 5/7/1941 do not count with reinforcement means of transport.
Other parts of the division have a full day's rest on 4/7/1941.


(b) The 2nd Division moved its various parts according to special order number 40 on 3/7/1941 head-on to the Olszanicza area.
On 4/7/1941 the frontal units will generally reach the Smolnica area.
Axis of advance: Zagorz - Lesko - Olszanica - Usztrzyki Dln. - Kroscienko - Smolnica. In case the road through Lesko is not free, use after rekognoskirovanie crossing over the railway bridge at Zagorz and the road along the left bank of the San from Załuz to Monasterzec - Bezmichowa . Rudenka - Olszanica. In the worst case the road through: Załuž to Tyrawa Woloska - Paszowa - Wankowa.
Please note that the permanent bridge over the San near Lesko is conditioned in such a way that when a vehicle runs onto the bridge, the bridge blows up.
To the commander of the pion. Battalion commander. 11, I have ordered him to disadjust the bridge. If the bridge is already disadjusted, use it for crossing. In any case, make sure all Soviet bunkers controlling the crossing are destroyed.


c) Army units:
All motorized parts of Army units will remain in present billets and will move by special order only on 5 July 1941. KPUP Company 11 is Polana near Chyrowe, Signal Battalion 11 at Chyrowe, as of 1800 on 3/7/1941. Del. Battalion 12 will move to the area Załuž - Bykowice - Olchowce.
March to board so as to reach Załuz at the head of its stream at 6 p.m. On 4 July 1941.


IV.
The 2nd Division will send its JPO from Ustryzki Dln. to Bandrow as a flank hedge. Further advance of the JPO after the divisional rest via Mszanice - Ploskie - Lenina to Terszow.


V.
SV Army HQ: Chyrow.
Final VS headquarters 1st Div. Dobromil.
In Tyrawa Woloska I made it possible to connect the telephone line Chyrow - Sanok, so that the division commander retained there the authorities to convey their messages. Finally, the SV of the 2nd Division Ustrzyki Dln.
SV del. Regiment 12 Zaluz.
SV of other units unchanged.


VI.
Report on the tactical situation of the units so that they reach the army headquarters at 4 o'clock. Morning reports, at 3 p.m. Noon and 7 p.m. Evening reports.
As far as possible, telephone extracts of reports in rough outline ahead.


VII.
In Kuzmin and Bircza, the army headquarters has been administering transport since 6 a.m. on 4/7/1941.


Receives: 1st and 2nd Divs, army weapons units, VVZ, state files and DHM in 3 copies.
