CZK - bodák vz.1895

After the collapse of the r.u. monarchy, the Austrian bayonet vz.1895 for the Mannlicher rifle vz.1895 was transferred to the armament of the newly founded Czechoslovak army, among other weapons. Initially only old stock was used, later these bayonets were manufactured on our territory. The bayonet also served as a model for the new Czechoslovak bayonet vz.23 and later also for the bayonet vz.24.

Diskuse

I have this bayonet at home, it's my great-grandfather's and he was in the army in 1938 when the Germans were disarming him, he was still using this bayonet at that time. How is that possible? Did he also go on the vz. 24 rifle?

Thank you
