Diskuse

Gentlemen,
I would like to present a few scans and notes that I obtained thanks to the kindness of the diffrologists Josef Bouša and Vasilij Jancik.

Too bad, tractor type Z
- military designation: artillery tractor model 1920 type Z
- military designation, abbreviation: tractor pattern 20 type Z

The prototype was developed in the Praga automobile factory in 1915, a subsidiary of the Czech-Moravian Machine Works (later ČKD). The series was produced under license in the Škodovka factory in Pilsen in two versions: "U" and "Z". Here we are talking about the more powerful model "Z".

Basic technical data
- weight: 11800 kg
- load capacity: up to 5000 kg
- length: 7000 mm
- width: 2360 mm
- height: 3000 mm
- clearance: 550 mm

Power unit
- Type, version: Škoda Z (ex Praga Z), petrol water-cooled
- number of cylinders: 6 in series
- engine capacity: 11200 ccm
- engine power: 58,8 kW (80 hp) at 950 to 1000 rpm

Transmission
- type, version: Škoda 80 HP (ex Praga Z)
- Number of gears: 4 forward and 1 reverse, plus two-speed reduction

Chassis
- arrangement: 4x2
- Front wheel base: 1895 mm
- Rear wheel base: 1800 mm
- wheelbase: 4200 mm
- front wheel size: Ø 1500x200 mm
- Rear wheel size: Ø 2000x400 mm

Performance
- Max. road speed: 1.3 to 13 km/h
- range: not known

Notes on the attached photo of the vehicle with license plate NIX-25
The license plate NIX-25 can be deciphered as "N" and the Roman nine, ... The picture was taken between 1922 and 1932, during military maneuvers of the 151st Artillery Regiment. The photograph also shows an engineer sloop, sometimes referred to as an eight- or ten-part (depending on the number of boats).

Rationale
I assume that this is a photograph taken after 1922, because by that date the 8.35 cm PL vz. 22 gun was introduced into the armament. The dating of the photograph is limited to 1932, when the use of police markings such as NIX-25 ended for Czechoslovak army vehicles.
