In the 1930s, the design offices of ČKD: Military Vehicles (SPE), Road Engineering (SIL) and the Pragovka design office, developed the so-called counter-demonstration armoured car at the request of the Bucharest police. The police armoured car was built on the chassis of a Praga TN truck and was exported in small series to the Romanian gendarmerie (jandarmi). The TN SPE vehicles were used in Bucharest in 1940 to quell riots that broke out after the Romanian territories of Bessarabia, Dobrudja and Transylvania were handed over to the Soviet Union, Bulgaria and Hungary without a fight. Some sources claim that during the Second World War these vehicles were used to assist the Bucharest fire brigade. The TN SPEs were reportedly painted light blue.

During the tour I found a mistake, which was formed by substitution of the photo on page 59. The accompanying text states that the above is a TN SPE-34 and below TN SPE-37 - but the opposite is true.
