6inch 26cwt howitzer Mk.1 on Carriage Mk.1P
An upgraded version of the 6-inch howitzer developed and used in the 1st Vol. war. In the 1930s, wooden wheels were replaced with tires (Mk.1P) or solid rubber tires (Mk.1R) and the brakes were improved. As an obsolete type, it was gradually withdrawn from first-line units in 1945.
