August 22, 1995 creation of the organizational core for the creation of the Rapid Deployment Unit in the garrison town of Martin


On October 1, 1995, the "Rapid Deployment Battalion" (PRRN) began operating in the garrison town of Martin. It was created as a professional unit of the Army of the Slovak Republic (ASR) (later the USSR).
The battalion was directly subordinate to the Ground Forces of the Slovak Army.


On October 1, 1998, this "Rapid Deployment Battalion" (prRN) was renamed the "Immediate Response Battalion" (prOR) and its organizational structure was changed.
The battalion was subordinated to the ground forces of the Slovak Army ASR). On July 1, 2002, the Army of the Slovak Republic (ASR) was renamed the Armed Forces of the Slovak Republic (OSSR).


On January 1, 2003, the "Immediate Response Battalion" (PROR) was subordinated from the subordination of the OSSR ground forces (PV OSSR) to the subordination of the light brigade (lb).


On July 1, 2003, the "Immediate Response Battalion" (prOR) was reorganized, units were removed from the subordination of the "Radiation, Chemical and Biological Protection Company" (RCHBO), "Anti-Aircraft Missile Battery" (plbat) and "Engineer Technical Security Company" ) and their subordination.
The battalion remained subordinate to the light brigade (lb).


On October 1, 2006, the "Immediate Response Battalion" (prOR) was renamed the "11th Mechanized Battalion (11.mpr)" as part of the renumbering of USSR ground forces.

Emblem of the 11th Mechanized Battalion:


On February 6, 2007, the Minister of Defense František KAŠICKÝ issued Regulation of the Ministry of Defense of the Slovak Republic No. 8 of 6.2.2007 on the recognition of emblems in which in accordance with the Directive of the Ministry of Defense of the Slovak Republic No. 10/2006 on military symbolism and Forces of the Slovak Republic, Martin awarded the "11th Mechanized Battalion" a new emblem.


The design of the emblem is based on the original emblem of the Battalion of Immediate Reaction, there was only a change in the text part of the emblem from the text "prOR MARTIN" to the text "11.mpr MARTIN" and the color of the hem of the gothic shield changed from yellow to black.


The emblem is a symbol of a military unit. It is a permanent colored sign on the shield, created according to heraldic rules, designed to identify its wearer. The emblem of the 11th mechanized battalion is 95 mm high and 75 mm wide.


The background color of the gothic shield is green. The head time of the character is 11 mm high (without hem). The inscription in the text part of the character (head part) is 6 mm high and is white, ARIAL font. A basic heraldic stylized figure is placed in the pictorial part of the emblem. The color version of the heraldic figure is in white.


In military history, the forerunners of the high preparedness forces were cavalry units. A horse like a noble animal is an intelligent and fast animal, which are the inherent characteristics of immediate response units. The white noble horse is also depicted together with the patron saint of the town of Martin in the town coat of arms of the garrison town of Martin, in which the 11th mechanized battalion is deployed.
The base of the gothic shield is green. The green color expresses the forest richness of the surrounding forests of the garrison town of Martin. Also the green color is suitable for camouflage during combat activities and when performing other service tasks.
The edging of the gothic shield is 2 mm wide and is black.
The inscriptions in the text (head) and the basic heraldic emblem in the pictorial part of the emblem are white. White is a sign of purity, it expresses "pure intentions". This color is meant to remind us that we must strive to keep our military unit clean and intact. The hem of the gothic shield is a thin black hem.
According to the hierarchy of shields of emblems, black is a color for military units and equipment (Directive of the Ministry of Defense of the Slovak Republic No. 11 of 11 November 2005 on military symbolism, Article 12, paragraph 2).

Dňa 27.júna 2007 prezident Slovenskej republiky a Hlavný veliteľ Ozbrojených síl Slovenskej republiky Ivan GAŠPAROVIČ na historickom námestí (Divadelné námestie) v Martine dekoroval bojovú zástavu „11.mechanizovaného práporu“ 11.mpr) Martin červe-nou a bielou stuhou.

Ján FRANCISCI (1822 - 1905) - politician, writer, editor, national awakener, poet, publicist, pedagogue, collector of folk literature, founder and functionary of Matica slovenská.
Already during his studies he became an enthusiastic Štúrovec and organizer of the student movement. In the revolutionary years 1848 - 1849, he stood at the head of Slovak volunteers, for which he was sentenced to death. He was involved in the birth of the Tatrín (1844), the St. Nicholas Requests of the Slovak Nation (1848), was a co-organizer of the Memorandum Assembly (1861) and played an important role in the birth of the Matica slovenská (1863), where he was elected vice-honorary vice-president. From a young age, he published in the Slovak press, founded and edited Pešťbudínské vedomosti and also excelled as a collector of folk tales and legends.


Ján FRANCISCI was a captain, later commander of volunteer units organized in the years 1848 - 1849. While working in volunteer units, he drafted a field training order in the Slovak language, with an explanation and description of the most important commands, ranks, names, movement and division of military bodies. , rights and obligations of soldiers and the like.


Education:
In 1839, Ján FRANCISCI studied at the Evangelical Lyceum in Bratislava, where he became a supporter of Štúr's thoughts and opinions. In protest against the ban on Štúr's lectures, he went with a group of students to study in Levoča, where he became the deputy professor Michal Hlaváček (1844 - 1845), who in 1832 founded the Society of Czechoslovak Speech and Literature.


Curriculum vitae:
Ján FRANCISCI-Rimavský became a member of the Tatras in 1844. In Levoča, he founded the Slovak Youth Union on August 6, 1844, which brought together Slovak students from all evangelical schools in Hungary. After studying law at the college in Prešov in the years 1845 - 1847, he worked as a clerk. At the end of 1847, together with Štefan Marek Daxner, he drafted a petition for the abolition of serfdom and serving in the Slovak language in the capital authorities. Already during his student years he proved to be a talented poet and novelist. His poem His Peer in Memory was the first independent print in Štúrovo Slovak. Later, Janko Podhorský also published historical prose. He was also an avid collector of Slovak folk tales and was one of the first to publish them. In the revolution of 1848-49 he was one of the most active. He participated in the training of Slovak patriots in Liptovský Mikuláš in May 1848, at which the Requests of the Slovak Nation were accepted. Together with Š. M. Daxner and M. Bakulíny, he organized the establishment of the National Guard in the Gemer chair. He was imprisoned in Plešivec and Pest for his work. (originally sentenced to death). In January 1849, he was released from Budapest's prison by Windischgrätz's army. In March 1849 he took command of Slovak volunteers formed in Myjava after B. Janeček. Thanks to him and thanks to Š. M. Daxner, the third, so-called summer expedition was organized. He had the rank of captain in the Slovak volunteer army. In 1850 he became the expeditor of the Zvolen capital and in the years 1853 - 1859 he worked as a county commissioner in Debrecen. From 1860 to 1861 he was an adviser to the governor's council in Buda. He significantly contributed to the development and success of the Slovak national movement in the 1960s. On March 19, 1861, he began publishing Pestbudine knowledge in Buda. In June of the same year he chaired the assembly of Slovak patriots in Martin, which met on 6 and 7 June 1861 in Martin and adopted the Memorandum of the Slovak Nation. He headed the preparatory committee of Matica slovenská, drew up its statutes and was elected honorary vice-president for life at its first meeting. In November 1864, he became the chief mayor of Liptov County. From this function was 10.9. 1865 revoked. He also participated in the founding of Slovak grammar schools and in 1868 he was the main supervisor of the grammar school in Revúca.In 1869 he became the chairman of the Book Printing Participant Association - the first national book printing house with a publishing house (he was until 1898). He translated plays and wrote his biography, in which he paid the greatest attention to the revolutionary period 1848-1849 and the memorandum movement of the 1960s. In the early 1970s, he took an active part in the controversy against the so-called New School, but gradually gave up political and journalistic activity. However, he continued to engage in public and cultural life. He contributed to the development of Martin, where he lived since 1872. He is buried in the National Cemetery in Martin.

Character of the 11th Mechanized Battalion - "COMBAT":


On July 11, 2008 members of the "11th Mechanized Battalion" on the basis of the order of the Commander of the 1st Mechanized Brigade No .: 1.mb-130-43/2008-OdbLog of March 6, 2008 and the order of the Commander of the PS OS SR No .: Odblog- 52-15/2008 of 26 February 2008 began to use the modified emblem of the "11th Mechanized Battalion" in a color version suitable for wearing on a field uniform.
The order for the wearing of sleeve emblems ordered the wearing of the emblem only in the "field" version on the field uniform by members of the battalion.


In the pictorial part of the emblem there is a basic heraldic stylized figure (galloping horse). The color version of the heraldic figure is in black for the emblem for the field uniform. The character was given the designation COMBAT.

The "11th Mechanized Battalion" directly follows the already established military traditions of the Immediate Response Battalion, which since its inception has performed training and other tasks for the benefit of the Armed Forces of the Slovak Republic and the Slovak Republic at home and abroad and thus educate professional soldiers .mechanized battalion.


The "11th Mechanized Battalion" also adopted the motto of the "Immediate Response Battalion":

Being a member of the 11th Mechanized Battalion does not only mean being a regular professional soldier in the Armed Forces of the Slovak Republic, but also means the obligation to be a professional in the right place, ready for combat deployment, representing the Slovak Republic and a sign of belonging to the 11th Mechanized Battalion.

Fulfillment of the tasks of the NATO Response Force - NATO NRF (NATO Response Forces) 11th Mechanized Battalion:


The NATO Response Force is a dedicated unit of NATO member states, characterized by high combat readiness, mobility and flexibility, intended for military as well as humanitarian actions around the world. The NRF forces include ground, naval and air units (elements). They were created on the basis of the conclusions of the Prague NATO Summit in October 2002. Their primary role is to respond immediately to crisis situations that need to be addressed by the armed forces.


The individual national components are allocated to these units for a standby period, which usually lasts 6 months. After these 6 months, the units are replaced. The standby period is followed by a period of convalescence and training so that the units can be re-rotated. In this way, a permanent full combat readiness of the assigned units, whose target state is 25,000 soldiers, is ensured. The individual elements of the NRF are in national subordination until the time of deployment.


Main tasks performed by the NRF:
- evacuation of the civilian population,
- follow-up management (including RCHBO interventions),
- intervention in crisis situations,
- support for counter-terrorism operations,
- peace-building,
- enforcement operations - embargo compliance,
- preparatory operations for the arrival of larger units,
- demonstrative forces to deter aggression,




The 11th Mechanized Battalion was incorporated into the NATO Response Force (NATO NRF) in the 5th rotation with the designation NRF-10 in the period from 10.1.2008 to 30.6.2008 together with the logistic national support element Hlohovec (NSE). In the case of deployment, the 11th Martin was to be under the command of JFC Naples. Command NRF-10 was provided by the staff of the 1st German-Dutch Corps ( I. German/Dutch Corps).


The 11th Mechanized Battalion could join the NATO-NATO Rapid Reaction Force NRF-10 in the period from 10.1.2008 to 30.6.2008 until successful completion of the certification exercise and subsequent transnational training in Bergen, Germany.


The final phase of the transnational preparation of the declared units was the implementation of the military exercise Joint Effort - JOINT EFFORT 2007, which took place in November 2007 and its aim was to test the ability to perform tasks in the deployment of declared units.

Vojenská prehliadka pri príležitosti štátneho sviatku Francúzska, „défiles militaires sur les Champs-Elysées“ dňa 14.7.2007 vo Francúzsku:


V dňoch 8. – 15.7.2008 sa 31 príslušníkov 11.mechanizovaného práporu Ozbrojených síl Slovenskej republiky zúčastnilo nácvikov a samotného vykonania prestižnej vojenskej prehliadke pri príležitosti štátneho sviatku Francúzska, „défiles militaires sur les Champs-Elysées“ dňa 14.7.2007. (14.júla 1789 sa rozvášnený dav ozbrojil a zaútočil na kráľovské väzenia „Bastla“, či vypukla Francúzska revolúcia).

11. mechanizovaný prápor nemá vo výzbroji BVP-M, takže neviem čo to tu robí.

Ono to bude asi vďaka tejto správe, odkiaľ tie fotky boli linkované:


"V dňoch 09.-11.09.2019 sa vo VVP Lešť realizoval sústredený výcvik strelcov-operátorov BVP-2 a BVP-M 1. mechanizovanej brigády. Vyrcholením výcviku boli cvičenia strelieb - streľba z miesta, za pohybu a počas zastavenia na pohybujúce sa a miznúce ciele vo dne a v noci, zámena kanón-guľomet."

Tlačovú správu o výcviku strelcov BVP-2 a BVP-M zverejnil 11. mechanizovaný prápor na svojom mil.sk, pričom celé zamestnanie organizoval práve 11. mpr - citujem zo správy: "V termíne od 9. do 11. septembra sa v Centre výcviku Lešť konala sústredená príprava strelcov operátorov BVP-2 a BVP-M. Výcviku sa zúčastnilo cez päťdesiat strelcov operátorov 1. mechanizovanej brigády Topoľčany. Výcvik pripravil a riadil veliteľ 3.mechanizovanej roty 11.mechanizovaného práporu Martin kapitán Ján Sedliak."

Ale aj tak rozmýšľam prečo to tu systém dal. Pozerám do obrázkov v téme BVP-M a k týmto obrázkom nie sú momentálne priradené jednotky, takže by to tu byť nemalo. Teda ak to medzitým niekto needitoval (a ja si nepamätám či som jednotku priraďoval, alebo nie).

Áno správa je čiastočne zavádzajúca. Jednalo sa o sústredenú prípravu strelcov operátorov 1.mechanizovanej brigády, pod vedením 11.mpr. Keďže jeden z útvarov mal vo výzbroji BVP-M ( nie ten martinský ) a názov zamestnania stanovuje nadriadené veliteľstvo, tak bol názov taký ako bol. Opakujem, 11.mpr nemá vo výzbroji BVP-M, chvalabohu a mám dojem, že už ani 1.mb.
Ospravedlňujem sa ak som bol moc ofenzívny.

V pohode, fotky som z témy vyhodil, dúfam že ich automat nedá opäť späť (nemal by, keďže v originálnej tém nemajú priradenú jednotku).
