SOV - K-66 / K-66M (5N87 / 64Ž6 Back Trap)

5N87 (5 & # 1053; 87, NATO code "Back Trap") - 3D radar complex (marked & # 269; also known as Cabin-66, K-66 ( & # 1050; & # 1072; & # 1073; & # 1080; & # 1085; & # 1072; -66, & # 1050; -66 ))

During the 1960s and 1970s, a radar complex was used extensively in the radio and anti-aircraft missile forces P-80 "Altai" ( & # 1055; -80 ("& # 1040; & # 1083; & # 1090; & # 1072; & # 1081;"[/i ])), which was built on the then modern concept of the commercial and altimeter (similarly the radar complex) P-40). In the mid-1970s, the complex P-80 was replaced by a more modern radar complex 5N87 ( 5 & # 1053; 87).
The new complex was not visually very different from its predecessor. Nevertheless, the radar radials of the complex achieved much better parameters than the radials used in the complex P-80 - Max goal detection increased by 35-40%, goal detection distance increased by 20-25%.
More modern altimeters PRV-13 were used in the 5N87 complex to measure the flight altitude of targets. The whole complex consisted of 17-21 trailers depending on the number of altimeters in the set (2-4). This large number of means of transport predestined this radar to be effective. from stationary positions within the radio troops. According to the regulation, at the time of the development of the complex was 38 hours, so that in fact no one with the possibility of changing the position in practice counted. The length of the cable connections between the individual elements of the complex reached several kilometers.
Due to its technical design, the complex is taxable at the time of its establishment. He has had a long life with the troops and is currently present. overcome by new means. Its further use is in the solution of airspace control tasks, or on radars, the provision of air defense firearms (due to its range, it is possible to use a complex of # 382; i & # 357; as a radar in the early warning).

The radar complex was modernized during its service. The modernized complex was designated 64 & # 381; 6 (K-66M) ( 64 & # 1046; 6 (& # 1050; -66 & # 1052;)).

Serial production of the 5N87 radar ( 5 & # 1053; 87) and its modifications 64 & # 381; 6 ( 64 & # 1046; 6) was secured & # 269; in the Pravda Radar Plant of Technical Technology ( & # 1055; & # 1088; & # 1072; & # 1074; & # 1076; & # 1080; & # 1085; & # 1089 ; & # 1082; & # 1080; & # 1081; & # 1079; & # 1072; & # 1074; & # 1086; & # 1076; & # 1088; & # 1072; & # 1076; & # 1080; & # 1086; & # 1088; & # 1077; & # 1083; & # 1077; & # 1081; & # 1085; & # 1086; & # 1081; & # 1072; & # 1087; & # 1087; & # 1072 ; & # 1088; & # 1072; & # 1090; & # 1091; & # 1088; & # 1099;) from 1971 to 1985. Not yet manufactured about 45 complexes, the total number of complexes produced reaches 600. The complex was exported to more than 20 countries. For the construction of this complex, the leading specialists of the plant and the designers of the complex became the winners of the USSR State Prize in 1975.

Basic characteristics of the complex:
