15 cm Autohaubitze M.15

The Škoda system weapon with a horizontal wedge breech was manufactured by Škoda Závody, a joint-stock company in Pilsen, from the spring of 1916 under the designation 15 cm M.15 Autohaubitze.
The weapon has been designed for motor traction since its inception and consisted of a steel barrel shell with a horizontal wedge breech, mechanical firing and variable recoil, regulated fluid brake and air gate with spring balancers, the carriage consisted of the cradle barrel, upper carriage and lower carriage, on which there were wooden spoked wheels with iron rims.
During transport, the barrel was pulled back and fastened, and on both sides of the lower carriage hung seats for brakemen. The howitzer was transported as one transport unit in a trailer behind the Daimler vz. 17, as an alternative it was possible to use hypomobile traction (ten-carriage) and for mountain transport, the weapon could be disassembled into four parts.
A grenade vz was used for firing. 19, grenade vz. 19/28 and grenade shrapnel vz. 17, ammunition was divided.
In total, the Czechoslovak Armed Forces received 43 pieces, which until September 1938 were in the arsenal of the Artillery Regiment 302 and until September 1933 Artillery Regiment 304.
