This automatic grenade launcher with began to produce in 1937 and was used on the West wall (the Westwall), it produced only 30 pieces of this weapon, as a response to the French automatic grenade launcher mle1935 used in the Maginot line. After the start of construction of the Atlantic wall once again started with the production and the end of the war produced the final 98 units. Few pieces were also used on the East wall (Ostwall) in Poland 1944. The weapon is mainly used in the bunker type R-633 and the domes of the type 424P01 or 34P8.
