The designation "M45" is not official! The German Armed Forces did not distinguish uniforms according to the year of introduction and designations such as M36, M40 ... M45 appeared only after the war among the collectors of these uniforms for their practical distinction.
In 1945, this extremely rare camouflage uniform was issued to the units for limited use. Its advantages were to be able to camouflage evenly during all seasons. At the same time, it is stated that it had a certain ability to mask soldiers even before detection, using first-generation night vision devices. The camouflage uniform was developed by the well-known Professor Schick, the author of several camouflage patterns. Leibermuster M45 was tested in 1944 and put into service the following year. The aim was to replace with this uniform all the camouflage uniforms of the Wehrmacht and the SS. In fact, it is the only German camouflage uniform from the time of the war, whose official name is known. However, the production process of this camouflage uniform was, due to its advanced capabilities, extremely time consuming and thus the basic goal - to provide such a uniform for the army was never met. Winter clothes and tents appear most often in this camouflage pattern, but only a very small number of soldiers received them at all. A derivative of this camouflage pattern was later used on the post-war uniforms of the Bundeswehr and the Swiss Army.
The first photo shows considerably faded original uniforms, the second and third show clothes in the original colors and cuts, the last is from the war period.

I would like to adjust that at the end of the war, various jackets (or blouses) and trousers, mostly of a very simple cut (as in the photos) were made of material with this camouflage pattern, but I also had a blouse with 3 pockets without flaps in my hand. (apparently a working blouse) .... I haven't seen a tent or a double-sided winter jacket anywhere yet, and given that this pattern was printed almost exclusively on a drilich fabric, I would doubt the production of tents: wink:

Apart from Hronov and Bělovs, I also met Liebermuster in our territory at Novapoack (quite a few members of the Kumburk guerrilla group captured a blouse or trousers) and the Jičín region. I haven't seen this pattern in photos yet in Europe or in Europe. Thus, as one of the few, Leibermusters disassembled units (specifically, it could be the 100th Jäger Division) 17th Army, which in the last days of the war tried to retreat to the Americans just before Northeast Bohemia.
