The boat is built to meet the requirements of low detection limit and good maneuverability in Norwegian coastal waters. The ship is a sort of mix between the catamaran and the hydrofoil. Hull is the type of catamaran, but in addition, is the space between the closed casing and is blown by air as well as for the hovercraft, so the ship has a smaller draught. The hull is built from materials absorbing radar beams. It's one of the first ships using stealth technology and probably the first with this technology in the active duty..
