A 1944 amphibious transporter design by Mitsubishi.The machine was to be used to transport 40 soldiers with equipment, or 4 tons of cargo. The machine probably used Type 95 "Ha-Go"(?) chassis parts.
The total production of this amphibious transporter is given as 49 pieces.

This machine also figured in Japanese suicide plans. A modified version existed in a small number of examples, which carried two 450mm torpedoes on the sides. These machines were to lead attacks on Allied landing craft. As the engine was housed in a watertight compartment, this machine could be carried by submarines. There were plans for attacks at Boungainville, at Peleliu and at Saipan. Eventually these plans were cancelled and the machines were stored at Kure, where they awaited deployment in the defence of Japan.
