Carro Commando da Semovente da 47/32
Based on the Semovente L 40 da 47/32 tank destroyer, two commando modifications were created to operate in units equipped with these tank destroyers.
1st modification
It differed from the conventional tank fighter by having a RF1CA radio with a range of 5-6 km (transmit) and the ability to receive a signal from a distance of 20 km. The machine had a reduced number of rounds for the cannon from about 70 to 46 rounds. The machine was intended for the platoon commander.
2nd modification
The machine had RF1CA and RF2CA radios with a range of 20km (transmitting) and the ability to receive a signal from a distance of 40km. The machine was intended for squad leaders (separate battalions of tank fighters) and did not have a gun. Instead, it had a Breda modello 38 machine gun of 8mm calibre, which was lafeted in a wooden dummy simulating a cannon.
The number of machines produced is unknown to me.
