8,8 cm FlaK 41 (Sf.) Panther I Bauteile

Anti-aircraft tank project of the company Rheinmetall-Borsig from 1943. It used the chassis of a medium tank PzKpfw.V "Panther". Lafetovaný should be 8.8cm Flak 41. However, work on the tower and the mounting of this large cannon were accompanied by problems with lack of space. It was not possible to mount it in the standard bearing ring Panthera and therefore the tank body had to be rebuilt. The tower was to be powered by a two-stroke engine DKW ZW 500 (5k). The height of the open armored tower from above should be 1900 mm.
At the end of 1/1944, Albert Speer was informed about the problems associated with this project and subsequently the project was canceled. Preference was given to the design of anti-aircraft tanks of smaller calibers, which were not accompanied by such technical problems and their serial production was possible in the near future. Only a wooden model was created.
