In 9/1941 the idea arose to equip VK 3.01 with a recoilless cannon 10.5 cm Rheinmetall-Borsig LG (referred to in older publications as LG 5.240). The vehicle was supposed to have a rotating tower from the company Krupp. One wooden model was created on the platform VK 3.01 (Fgst.Nr. 330016).
