Good day. I would need help from some bastard with identification I have a bayonet at home from about WW2, I personally type it on a CSA bayonet or Wehrmacht, but I don't really know. I also took a few photos, maybe I can connect them. Bodak measures the whole 36 cm, the blade 25 cm, the width of the blade is 2.3 cm. after placing the bayonet on the rifle, the blade should move upwards. the letters E WG are embossed on the blade near the cover so that the Czech Republic is above the other two letters. Thank you very much.

The letters should be OEWG (the letters O and E are associated). It is an austrian bayonet to the rifle Mannlicher 1895, a manufacturer was the company Oesterreichrische Waffenfabriks-Geselschaft, Steyr and certainly it was made before 1923..

[quote = "JamesCole"] Thank you for the flash answer, you're right, on closer inspection it is possible to observe the O. On the other hand, a symbol is embossed in the same place, I think it's like a maple leaf .... Anyway it is this paradoxically preserved a piece of history. With this bayonet were the units of Austria-Hungary standardly armed during WW1? Yes, during WW1 it was the standard armament of the R-U army.

As was rightly said here, this is an Austrian bayonet for the Mannlicher vz.1895 rifle for the team. The manufacturer of the weapon, the Styrian armory (Steyr), was also correctly determined, but I will add a few details: The mark resembling a "maple leaf" is an Austrian eagle - an acceptance mark r.u. army Another thing I would like to point out is the fact that this bayonet is additionally modified and the ring on the shield was removed from it, serving to strengthen the weapon on the rifle. The bayonet includes an all-metal sheath.
