Mitsubishi A7M1 11
First flight May 1944, two prototypes produced with Nakajima NK9K engine, failed to meet 17-Shi requirements in performance.


Mitsubishi A7M2 22
First flight on October 13, 1944, seven prototypes and one production aircraft produced, Mitsubishi MK9A engine promising increased performance.


Mitsubishi A7M3 23
A prototype in progress, it was envisaged to have an MK9C high-altitude engine with a two-speed three-stage compressor, the wings were without folding arches.


Mitsubishi A7M3 34
was a completed mock-up and prototype under construction, the engine was to be a MK9A turbocharged engine, with a longer fuselage, the wings had a thicker profile, and it was planned to be used for ground bases.
