The 1V13 Battery Senior Officer's Command Vehicle (VVSDB) is located in the battery firing position in a location that provides reliable platoon command. When relocated, it is at the head of the firing platoon stream.
The VVSDB is designed to perform the following tasks :
- Determining firing position coordinates,
- orientation of guns to the main direction,
- automatic reception of firing elements from the VVŠO computer,
- calculation of firing elements (by alternate means),
- maintaining communication with the troop headquarters, battery commander and gun commanders.
Equipping the 1V13 vehicle :
(a) Instruments for topographic-geodetic connection and orientation :1G-121-1, gyro compass 1G-25-1, rangefinder DSP-30, sighting instrument PV-1, buzzer PAB-2AM.
(b) Communication equipment : rdst R-123M 3 pcs, call device 1T-80 3M, telephone interconnector P-193M, 2 pcs field telephone TA-57, 3 coils TK-2 of 500 m tlf. cable P-274M,
c) telecode equipment: automatic command receiver 9Š34,
(d) apparatus for determining elements of firing : PUO-9M, apparatus for determining aggregate repairs,
(e) apparatus for radiation, chemical and engineer reconnaissance : GO-27, IMP indicating minehunter,
(f) chemical protection equipment : filter-ventilation, hot-air, decontamination,
(g) sources of electrical power : power pack, generator GIV-8/6000, batteries,
(h) armament : RPG-7VN + 5 rounds, 7,62 mm PKMB machine gun.
VVSDB combat operations are directed by the senior battery officer.
