AGS-30 - A successor to the AGS-17, which was developed in the early 1990s. The new weapon is characterized by fewer individual parts and its weight has been reduced by almost half compared to the AGS-17. The weapon is designed to fire the same ammunition as the AGS-17 and has virtually identical ballistic parameters. The AGS-30 grenade launcher is also intended to be more reliable and requires only a two-man crew. The magazine box contains 30 rounds of ammunition and has a total weight of 13,7 kg (the AGS-17 magazine with 29 rounds weighs 14,5 kg). A new type of ammunition, the VOG-30, is also available for the weapon and is said to have up to 75% higher fragmentation compared to the VOG-17M. The AGS-30 grenade launcher was first introduced in the mid-1990s and is now offered for export. The weapon is fitted with an optical sight as standard.
