the Honourable general Edward Finch, british dôstojník and member of Parliament
Born sa ako piaty son in the family Henneage Fincha, 3. the count of Aylesfordu 26.04.1756. From the year 1768 university at Westminster School, and subsequently, from the year 1773 in Trinity College in the Cambridge. Štúdium ended the ako bakalár in the year 1777, and in nasledujúcom year vstúpil into the army, where aktívne slúžil to the year 1809. In 1789 he was elected for Cambridge in Parliament, and repeatedly was elected up to the year 1819. In 1804, the sa became Kráľovým komorníkom. Never sa never married, zomrel bezdetný 27.10.1843.
In the year 1778 nastúpil in the rank of cornet to 11. dragúnskemu regiment. Čoskoro bol premiestnený to 20. ľahkému dragúnskemu regiment and in 1779 was promoted to lieutenant in 87.pešom regiment with which nasledujúce 3 years slúžil in Západných Indiách and Severnej Amerike. In the year 1783 he was promoted to captain in Coldstreamskom gardovom pešom regiment and in rovnakom regiment was in 1792 promoted to lieutenant colonel and under the leadership of general Lake sa participated in the expedition to Flámska. The sa aktívne attended viacerých smaller and väčších bitiek (Caesars Camp, Famars, Lincelles, Hoodschoote, Lannoy, Turcoing, Tournay), and in the year 1796 he was promoted to colonel.
In the year 1798 sa with plukom attended potláčania povstania in Írsku and during the British-Russian invázie to Holland in the year 1799 velil 1. battalion worry Coldstreamského guards regiment with which sa 19.09.1799 participated in zostave 2. gardovej brigade defeat at Bergen (Battle of Bergen-Binnen).
Year 1800 it zastihol in Egypt, where velil ľahkej jazdeckej (neskôr transformovanej on pešiu) brigáde against napoleon's forces and where the bol to 01.01.1801 promoted to major general.
In 1808 he became colonel 54. pešieho regiment, who in the year 1809 traded for 22. a walking regiment. V rovnakom year velil brigáde gárd pri invázii to Denmark and pri obliehaní Kodane and now are back to eating finished with aktívnou service in the field.
