CZK - Škoda M.23

AUT - Panzerauto-Attrappe M.23 Skoda
/

Dear,
during a search in the Swedish archives (where it comes from, e.g., information on the tank V-8-H-Sv) were found photos and references to the armored car marked Skoda M.23, which was in 1926, the Swedish government offered some sort of austrian company "F. Heigl." Since I'm of that type in the available literature, he found nothing, I would like information on him post it here.

In the photos is a mock-up of the car, not a working prototype. Unfortunately no further information are available, in addition to the terse thank you for the suggestion in Swedish (but without the address). The proposal was the Swedes refused and it all ended.

Austria: Panzerauto-Attrappe M.23 Skoda

Dear,
to the observations of my colleague Silentstalker I would like to note that the author of the drawing Fritz Heigl, who in April 1926 was an assistant at the Vienna Polytechnic (der Technische Hochschule). I assume that he was also the author of the Taschenbuch der Tanks.

Perhaps something more detailed could be learned at this address:

or e-mail of the Head of the Archives, Dr. Paulus Ebner: paulus.ebner@tuwien.ac.at

I ask German-speaking researchers to ask this institution for help.

I only just discovered this topic and it really intrigued me. I don't know if Jirka found any new information, but I managed to find something.
Fritz Heigl was involved with the design of so-called training vehicles in the mid 1920s. This designation was an effort to get around the Versailles Treaty restrictions on limiting the armaments of defeated countries in WWI.

In the Russian source there are identical photographs and the associated designation Heigl Panzerauto M.26. Although this contradicts the drawing, which shows the designation Skoda M.23, there may be some other explanation. What ? I have no idea. There is also an interesting Heigl Panzerauto M.25 in the source, and the type from this thread is said to be an evolutionary successor. The design year of 1926 should also indicate this.

The connection with the offer to the Swedes can be guessed as getting the contract. In that case it could be an attempt to get around the restrictions of the Versailles Treaty with the argument of production for another state.

I was wondering about the platform of the vehicle. The drawing indicates a Czech Model 23 type of Skoda system. I am not very knowledgeable about cars and my resources are limited, so I can only give impressions and thoughts.
So it should be a Škoda platform, but Škoda probably didn't make any trucks until 1923 (not counting the U and Z tractors). I'd be more inclined to go with the Praga product. The first Czechoslovak OA were created by such cooperation. As you can see in the photos, the rear axle drive was provided by gall chains. I have no idea which type of Praga stopped with this kind of drive, but I would guess it was the Praga type V, which was produced under license by Austro-Hungarian and German companies (Austro-Daimler, Austro-Fiat, L&K, NW Nesselsdorf (Tatra) Hungarian Wagon Works in Raab), Benz, Krupp, Bussing). And this type would probably be the most affordable for the Austrians. As I write, I'm not much into cars, but in the drawing it has a kinked frame at the back ? I don't know if this is some kind of peculiarity or not. It may be a clue.

I also attach a photo which is mirrored in the opening post.
