According to current information, the pilot never ejected, and thereafter from the aeroplane itself got. The pilot found the soldiers but the foresters, and after about 1.5 to 2 hours, who is on his quest also participated. According to the mostly unofficial sources (the Polish army is not obligated to publish any extensive or detailed explanatory communique) pilot evidently due to the influence of sudden deterioration of the weather conditions probably lost orientation and in a controlled manner landed into lesnatého terrain about 8 km from the airport (it was not an emergency landing), taking care not to fire the aeroplane, and also thanks to the relatively small speed and angle of descent of the aircraft.
