At the request of the army in 1915 for an armored vehicle with 4x4 drive, a year later, 20 armored vehicles were produced, which used the platform of a light artillery tractor Jeffery. An armored superstructure manufactured by Delaunay-Belleville was mounted on the platform. The vehicle received a retractable turret in which a single machine gun was mounted. It was a complicated and clumsy solution that did not get to the front line. The vehicle itself was of massive dimensions, which looked very unmasking in the combat terrain. The manufactured vehicles were used only for training. The vehicles were in the state of the CIAM (Center d´instruction des automitrailleuses) training center.
