In 1918, a prototype armoured tracked 155 mm howitzer was built by Delaunay-Belleville (Canon de 155 C modèle 1917 Schneider). It was actually a kind of artillery weapon supply to the batteries. The vehicle could not only transport the howitzer, but firing was also possible from the vehicle. There were two armoured cabins in the front. In the right one the engine was mounted, in the left one sat the driver of the vehicle. A firing corridor was created between them, through which the howitzer could fire. However, the interesting idea did not make it into series production.
