CC- Borodin
The Borodino class battlecruiser project was intended for the Baltic Fleet. Design work began as early as 1912. However, during the war there were problems with the supply of boilers and turbines from the British manufacturer. During the war there were also problems with the supply of shipbuilding materials and there were also problems with the construction workers. For these reasons, the entire class of ships was cancelled. In 1917 the first trio of ships were launched, the completion of the Ismail was scheduled for early 1918. However, due to the October Revolution, work on the ship almost stopped, and later the hull was considered for conversion to an aircraft carrier, but by the end of 1920 construction did not continue. The built hulls were sold for scrap.
