On the territory of the Czech republic, today starts the international military exercise Ample Strike with the participation of more than 1,300 soldiers and nearly 40 aircraft and helicopters from the 18 countries. Officially it was an exercise initiated arrivals of participants and the creation of the command post last week, the actual exercise began on Monday morning.
The exercise is primarily focused on training of forward air controllers. Scenario exercises describe a variety of combat situations, which are inspired by the experience of the foreign operations and also respond to the current global threats. For example, fighting in built-up areas, destruction of moving targets or need to ambush convoys of vehicles.
Exercises in military training areas Boletice and Libavá and at air bases and airports in Bechyně, Caslav, Náměšť nad Oslavou and Pardubice will last until 12. September. In the exercise this year will involve almost 100 members of the active reserves.
