The USAF lost a plane Lockheed Martin F-16C Fighting Falcon, reg. 89-2028, v no IC-181, which belonged to 138. stíhacímu wing (138th Fighter Wing). The accident occurred on Ellington Field Joint Reserve Base, Houston, TX (EFD). The Pilot crashed on startup (the reason was probably the failure in the engine ?), and out of the aircraft successfully ejected, while suffered minor injuries and was hospitalized, the plane then started to burn. The airport area has been for some time evacuated. The reason for this was that the plane was carrying live ammunition, especially rockets (AIM-120 AMRAAM and AIM-9 Sidewinder).
