In Paris at the cathedral of Notre-Dame was shot by French police officers of a man of algerian origin, who one of them tried to attack with a hammer. A police officer was slightly injured, the striker suffered a gunshot wound to the chest. The area was closed and inside the temple there are about 900 people, which the police subsequently checked. The man in the attack shouted "this is for Syria" and he was carrying a hammer, kitchen knives and papers in the name of Faríd Ikkan, born in Algeria in January 1977. From 2014, he entered the doctoral studies of informatics at the university of Métách.
He worked as a journalist and in the past received the European union prize for information on discrimination against migrants escaping to Sweden, where he lived.
