The Syrian Arab Air Force lost a Sukhoi Su-22M3 aircraft that was supposed to perform a training flight. According to some reports, the machine crashed due to an unspecified technical fault, while others say it was shot down by the Jaish al-Islam group. The pilot who successfully ejected was captured by Jaish al-Islam and subsequently assassinated by a member of the al-Nusra Front. The machine landed in Jayrud.
