Many unused towers from discarded tanks Pz.Kpfw.38 (t) and canceled production of a classic tank were used in static fortification defense. In addition to the classic tower armed with the original cannon armament ( Pz.Kpfw.-Turm 38 (t) (Normalserie)) was also a provisional version with a pair of 7.92 mm caliber MG37 (t) machine guns. It was probably an emergency reconstruction due to the lack of original cannons. One machine gun was mounted in the standard position, the other was mounted instead of the cannon. Both weapons could be controlled separately. The ammunition supply was to consist of 45,000 rounds. In 5/1944, only one prototype tower was produced. The plans included the production of 83 pieces of "T38 (t) (B)" in the company Škoda Plzeň. Four production towers were sent to Festung-Kommandant Brün on April 1, 1945 ( Brno). No. 8.4.1945 it was found that it would be possible to mount the original cannon instead of the second machine gun (probably some usable cannons were found). They were probably armed and supplied by Festung-Kommandant Brün.
Even after the end of the war, there were 34 towers in the Škoda Plzeň factory, in 1950 eight of these towers were in the warehouses of the branch of the repair plant "Z 25" in Kerhatice near Ústí nad Orlicí [~ 1 ~].
