United States marine corps (United States Marine Corps (USMC)) on the plane the McDonnell Douglas AV-8B Harrier II belonging MAS542. The aircraft zřitil into the Atlantic ocean, about 1.5 miles from Wrightsville Beach. The Pilot successfully ejected, but suffered unspecified injuries. He was rescued after about 30 minutes of helicopter SAR.
