Closed by prestavba. Shoho has dĺžku 205,5 m and štandardný displacement 11,443 t. Diesel engines are replaced 2 parnými turbines poháňajúcimi each one hriadeľ with šrobom. Maximálna rate is 28 uzlov. The engines are connected to a single chimney. The take-off deck is 180m dlhá with one hangárom with 2 výťahmi. Zadržiavacie zariadenie is equipped with a 6 káblami. The deck isn't built superštruktúrny ostrovný bridge, navigácia and flight control is umiestnená below the flight deck. The ship is teray equipped with a 30 letadlami, however, does not žiadnu leteckú group on deck. Is prevzatá in the Yokosuka and registered as the ship zvláštnej services.
The conversion is completed. Shoho has now and the length of 205.5 m (674.2 feet) overall. Displacement at standard load is 11,443 t. Games original diesel engines are replaced by a pair of destroyer-type geared steam turbine sets each driving one propeller. The Maximum speed is 28 knots. The boilers exhaust through a single downturned starboard funnel. Shoho's flightdeck is 180-m (590.6 feet) long. The ship is designed with a single hanger, served by two octagonal centerline aircraft elevators. She has arresting gear with six cables but is not fitted with an aircraft catapult. No island superstructure is installed; games navigating and control bridge is located under the forward part of the flight deck. Shoho can accommodate 30 aircraft (fighters and attack planes) but has no Air Group currently aboard. Commissioned by the at Yokosuka. Listed Registered as a Special Duty Ship.
